The APA of Tarrant County is a franchise of the American Poolplayers Association (APA). Les and Francee Moore became the League Operators when they purchased the franchise rights in 2006 from what was formerly known as Tarrant County APA. The APA of Tarrant County territory consists of the Northern half of Tarrant County as drawn by a line along Highway 10 from Highway 360 to Loop 820 South to I30 and then west to the Wise County line. Our mission is to be the Best APA Franchise in the United States. And to be the best we must be fair, honest, and abide by the rules while having fun and enjoying what we do. We also have to have open communication lines between us and our players, teams, hosts, and prospects. Sportsmanship is one of the key factors to our achieving our mission and you being successful as a pool player in the APA of Tarrant County. If we or you have to use negative tactics, rules, methods, etc. to defeat someone and be a winner, we are ultimately the loser. Playing fair and exhibiting sportsmanship means helping others to understand the rules and format of our leagues even if it means giving up a win on paper, understanding you have been beaten and taking your loss like a true winner, and exhibiting a smile and extending a handshake at the end of a match. Players throughout Tarrant County and surrounding areas participate weekly in 8-ball and 9-ball league play in the hopes of advancing to regional tournaments, and ultimately the National Team Championship held annually in August in Las Vegas, Nevada. Players may also attempt to qualify throughout the year for regional and National Singles Championships. Find out why pool is our passion and has become one of the most popular sports in the country. If you like having fun and are interested in joining the APA of Tarrant County, contact us via email or call the League Office at 817-684-0006 for more information. Les has played pool for over 40 years in both APA and BCA formats and enjoys the sport immensely. He is an avid fan of 8-Ball and One Pocket and is known on some discussion sites as "One Pocket Champ". Les is currently rated as a 7 in 8-ball and participates annually in the U.S. Amateur Championships. In 2004, Les qualified for the Finals in Bristol, Connecticut. Meanwhile, Francee has been a pool novice for the past six years and has run leagues and tournaments throughout the DFW area during that time. Her last session in APA saw her rated as a 4 in 8-Ball with a session ending win percentage of 80+%. Both Les and Francee have played in other APA area leagues including APA of Dallas and Arlington APA where Les was a Division Representative for three years. Les and Francee have been married for three years, have five children between them, and live in the heart of their territory. They believe in and are here to help you have one of the best experiences of your life.
