CITY CHAMPIONSHIP or Local Team Championship (LTC)

The drawing for team placements in the May 29-31 Tarrant County APA Local Team Championships were held on Sunday, May 17 at Pockets in Euless. Division representatives from the 8 Ball Open Divisions drew for their respective teams in a blind draw. The match brackets and team rosters are posted below and can be accessed by clicking on the links.

Each qualified team should receive a Team Certification sheet for them to obtain the signatures of all players who are qualified to participate in the tournament. These forms should be delivered to you during the first week of regular session play for Summer 2009 session. No player is allowed to play in the LTC if they have not signed the form prior to the start of LTC play.

Practice tables WILL NOT be available to teams during the tournament.

Mandatory Team Captain Meeting - 7:00 PM Friday, May 29

ALL team captains or co-captains MUST the pre-tournament meeting. This meeting will held to handle the following items:

Registration of team with Team Certification sheets required

LTC tournament packets provided and review of rules

Distribution of team LTC shirts

If your team is not scheduled to play until 9:00 AM on Saturday, you MUST still attend the meeting and register your team. Make certain the tournament team has the captain and co-captain's working numbers where they can be reached if a match time should change.

Tournament Brackets

Tournament structure will be the standard APA Modified Single Elimination format. Rounds 1 - 4 will provide every team with the opportunity to play two matches.

With the start of play in Round 5, all teams will be playing single elimination format. If your team loses, you are done for the tournament even if you have lost only one match. ONLY winners remain in the tournament following each round.

Pockets doors will open at 8:00 am for practice on Saturday and Sunday. Donuts will be provided and coffee will be available for purchase from Pockets.

Match time limits, shot clocks, and sudden death rules will be enforced where needed throughout the tournament. ALL team captains will have the specific rules for the LTC provided to them at the Captain's meeting. We must run on time to make this a successful and fun event for all.

Round 4 - Saturday, May 30 - 1:00 pm

Round 7 - Sunday, May 31 - 1:00 pm

Round 8 - Sunday, May 31 - 5:00 pm
